Hydron Energy has announced the sale of its first commercial Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) production plant, marking the first order for its one-of-a-kind INTRUPTor-Mid biogas upgrading system.
The plant will be manufactured, delivered, and commissioned in Eastern Ontario, Canada.

Hydron Energy Inc. announced further investment from their strategic partner, Modern Niagara Group Inc., Canada’s fastest growing multi-trade contractor and building solutions company. Combating carbon emissions in the hard-to-abate sectors, Hydron Energy is in the final stage of their bridge financing prior to an upcoming Series A investment.

Hydron Energy is receiving funding from NRC IRAP and Innovate BC that will support the development of cost-effective Direct Air Capture (DAC) and Rare Gas Production with Hydron’s Energy’s breakthrough INTRUPTor™ gas upgrading solution.

Our current mobile unit operating in Ontario provides significant capital and operational cost savings with 85% less carbon footprint. Hydron Energy Inc. is commercializing a disruptive solution that converts raw gases into clean refined fuel. CICE’s funding will deploy Hydron’s technology at the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Prince George, lowering emissions by upgrading biogas into renewable natural gas instead of flaring it.

Hydron Energy Inc. has announced impressive results from the first field deployment of their INTRUPTor™ system in Ontario. With recovery rates of 98.6%-99.8% and RNG purity of 97.2%-99.9%, this revolutionary gas upgrading solution delivers up to 50% cost savings. Field testing commenced in February 2024 and the system has been operating continuously with stable performance.

Hydron announced today it has received a grant from the Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN). The grant from CRIN will provide funding to help accelerate commercialization and scale up for the INTRUPTor™ system. Hydron Energy is scaling up core components of the INTRUPTor™ by orders of magnitude.

Hydron has developed a first-of-a-kind gas upgrader, the INTRUPTor, to produce low cost renewable fuels such as renewable natural gas (RNG) from biogas, as well as clean hydrogen production from syngas.

The investment will accelerate the commercialization of Hydron’s biogas-to-RNG upgrading technology for small- to medium-scale sites. “Hydron is proud to add Standard Nutrition to its growing list of partners,” said Hydron Energy President and CEO Soheil Khiavi.
